In the baptistry and other areas, stylized lines representing water and waves reference the nearby water in the Wasatch Mountain Range and Utah Lake. The restroom floors have “rug-like” patterns that consist of multiple sizes and shapes of tiles. The free tours include a short video and then a walking tour and lasts about an hour. It is wheelchair accessible and comfortable shoes and modest dress are also recommended, according to the open house information. The Saratoga Springs Utah Temple will be dedicated in three sessions on Sunday, Aug. 13, by President Henry B. Eyring, second counselor of the First Presidency. She said she hopes bringing children and youth to the temple during the open house will help them prepare to make covenants in the temple and have a desire to come closer to God.
